Join The Campaign for Access To Palliative Care
In October 2025, we profiled the Association for Palliative Care’s (APCC) excellent campaign called ‘Through the Palliative Care Lens’. The campaign serves to shine a light on the exemplary work of palliative care centres across the county and on World Hospice Palliative Care Day in particular, which falls in October every year. A lot of myths and misconceptions still exist about palliative care - for example, accessing palliative care means ‘giving up - and you can help to dispel these by sharing information in your communities. If you have the time, find out if there is a local hospice in your area , support their charity shop (https://apcc.org.za/the-thrift-shop-collective/) and help to promote their services.
